On Saturday night, Dad was all, “Let’s go to the Black and White rally in La Salle.” I was all for it because, you know, shouting together for on cause? So my thing. When we get there, we find out that we are early enough for the end.

Yeah, all the people were leaving.

Then Dad goes: “Let’s go people watch! There are many celebrities here!”

So I’m forced to watch as they shamelessly look on at the ongoing exiters like a pile of hopeless paparazzi. Then mom pulls my hand and goes: “Achi, that’s Francisco Escudero! The Minority Leader that you always see on TV!” So I go and check it out...

Ahem.

I’d like to say that I admired the dude before. I mean, heck, he’s a fucking good congressman. Hello? Anyone Anti-GMA is a good person.

but then, I saw him in person. Like, four feet away, with nothing in between us, and I am in shock. Dude! He’s so hot!! He’s tall and lanky, and he’s wearing black with a cross necklace!! HE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HOW I PICTURED SIRIUS TO LOOK LIKE!!!

So there I am, shocked. Then I catch myself and start walking away. It is at that point that I allow myself to look on as shamelessly as my parents had done earlier. God...

Today I told my Mom about having a crush on someone new.

Mom: “is he a singer?”

Me: “No.”

Mom: “Is he an artist?”

Me: “No.”

Mom: “Do I even see him on TV?”
Me: “Yes.”

Mom: “Did we see him together?”

Me: “Yes.”

Mom: (After much thinking) “Is he Filipino?”

Me: “Yes.”

Mom: (pause) (gasp) “he’s a congressman isn’t he???”

Yeap. She said that I was totally ogling him. Hmph. I have much more dignity than to allow myself to stoop to as low as ogling.

Oh my god.

It was freaking amazing.

I'm not even gonna talk about those pinoy bands. Oh, expect that one dude who went down to his boxers, and another who tried to look like Billy. So not. During those opening bands, we kept on seeing Joel and Paul peeking from behind the curtains and watching them perform. Or us. Whatever. Crap, we were so near!! Like, 15 feet or something. That close to Benji. *faint*

Anyway, when GC entered the stage, i was in pure shock cause that -- at that point, finally -- I realized that I would actually SEE Benji Madden. Live. Breathing. I still can't believe I saw him. He was so hot. He was wearing a black shirt that said something I don't understand. I think Bear remembers it. It was a sleeveless shirt. And he wore waist-low pants that kept on falling and he kept on grabbing his butt because of it. I even managed to see his boxers! Pleated green!! Woohoo!! And he was wearing those shoes he always wears wherever he goes. Ooh! And the hanky covering his mouth--which he took of after what? 2 minutes? Yeah, and that hat that belongs to Joel. Or one I saw Joel wear. Hehe. The NBA hat thing. So hot... And his guitar! He kept on changing it! One was hot pink, like the one Lindsay Lohan has on her album. It was GLITTERY!!! And the black acoustic one he used in Brixton Academy. And the dark green one. Hehe. All he did was change his guitars.

EEp! All the twins did was spit! I swear! And Benji doesn't even doing it normally! He has to do it in style! One (my favorite) was the bow and arrow one. Really original. He went sideways and (pretend) aimed at the left (his left) and shot the "arrow", which was his spit. Hehe. And the one where he put his back to the crowd and raised his guitar while playing it, and then spitting. Hehe. Joel eh! But his was the normal in-the-air-spit. Haha!

Benji winked at me! I'm not kidding! Ienne doesn't believe me!! And his smile is twisted. I mean, it's hot and all, but it's weird. His mouth opens and the one side curves up, usually it's his right side. Hehe! I really regret not bringing the "Marry me, Benji" Placard that Ienne made. Bear said that the twins looked at the one she was carrying and they smiled at her. Damn... Hehe.

There was one who had a "Call Me, Benji 456something" And Benji was squinting at it. And then he understood it after some time, so he smiled, rose his eyebrows and winked and went back to singing. I SAW THE WHOLE THING!! IT WAS TOTALLY HOT!!! I think he's a total playa (player). That's hot, Benji, don't worry.

*sigh*

They are really good performers. I mean it. They don't focus on one side only. They MOVE AROUND AND AROUND AND AROUND. All I did was look for Benji. And I kept on thinking that Benji was actually Joel! Can you believe it? I can't! Maybe it's the hat.

I didn't even study yet. Hehe.

Anyway, at the beginning pala, first band, the dudes beside us were getting totally wild that they were throwing this guy around. And I got so pissed off cause they kept on bumping into my kada. So i hit them. I raised my fist in the air and slammed their backs. I think my slaps would have been more effective. yeah, I kicked them too. And elbow slammed them. I got sugats nga eh!

So, continuing, while I was rocking to the concert, bigla this dude just lands on me! I had no idea what happened, basta I saw this big space in front of me, and I was on the floor, and I saw someone standing up. So I jumped up and raced after him. Never got to because the girls beside me grabbed me, and Ienne grabbed her, and a dude grabbed Ienne. Bear said more that 3 people were holding me back. So all I did was scream: "Fuck you asshole!" And then I calmed down. Then the girls realized that I was calm, and they let me go. So they were all:

"Okay ka lang?"

"Did he steal anything? Check mo nga!"

"What an asshole."

And the one who grabbed me shouted after him, "Fuck you asshole!" Hehe. Then we found out that Ienne's glasses were lost so we looked for it. Even those group of girls. Hehe. Nice. I can't believe those kinds of people existed. Here. In the Philippines.

Bear said that Joel looked scared and was looking at where I fell. Not at me directly. Ienne said that Joel looked at me and looked scared. Then he went back to singing. Haha! Bear told me she'll demonstrate how Benji and Joel looked when I fell. At least that surely is a sign that they looked at me at least once, right? That's all I'm happy about. I don't care that the lower part of my body hurts like hell. And so do my arms. And neck. But whatever.

Benji threw his used water bottle. First, he drank from it and then he threw it into the crowd. I got wet in the face!! Woohoo!!!

Ooh!! And then Joel stood on top of the crowd and was shaking everyone's hands. Hehe. I had to raise my hand up so that it won't get squished cause everyone was trying to get a piece of him. He was so near!Like, a foot? Wow. I was in shock. And then I felt this hand touch my hand, so I look and guess whose hand I see? JOEL MADDEN'S!!! Joel grabbed my hand!! And I didn't let go cause I was so surprised. I don't think he cared though, he was probably used to it. But a girl was probably jealous, so she pulled my hand away. *shrug* That was five seconds of pure bliss anyway.

What else? Hm... We threw 4 pieces of paper at them. Bear brought some paper, and I wrote on it. Ienne formed it into a paper plane and threw it at Benji. It crashed. So Bear took out another one, and Ienne wrote on it. I crushed it into a ball and threw it. It grazed Benji's feet. Then we tried again, and was ear level to Benji, but about a meter away from him. Hehe. I don't know what happened to the fourth. Anyway, someone decided to follow us and threw a piece of paper at him too. IT HIT HIS HEAD!!!! LIKE, POW!!! Benji was all shocked and then he smirked. Hehe.

Yeah, and Joel, in the middle of the concert, put the Philippine flag on the mike holder. That was wicked. But the flag looked really ugly.

And their speech. Or bits of speeches at every song. The one about politics. that one was wicked. Let's see what I remember, not exact wording, but you get the gist:

"I can't believe that one room can be full of such many beautiful people!" -Benji

"How many of you are Young and Hopeless?" -Joel

"When I saw '1, 2' you say '1, 2, 3, 4!'" -Joel

"I don't understand politics. They're not fighting for love, they're fighting for themselves." -Joel

"So now we have friends in the Philippines." -Joel

"Since it's our first time here, we'll play as long as we want!" -Joel

"When we come in on this next song, I want all of you to jump! Every single on of you!" -Benji

"We were supposed to come here before, but you guys were fighting." -Joel

"We should've come here sooner if you guys were like this!" -Joel

"You guys make me enjoy doing this! Before I felt like coming back home and forgetting all these songs, but you guys make me love it. I'd rather be here than home!" -Joel

"We're coming back Manila!" -Joel

"Will we be seeing you next time we come back?" -Joel

Well, it was mostly Joel cause I think Benji was in a pissy mood. I dunno. He wasn't funny. He didn't acknowledge Joel. He didn't talk much. He didn't even encourage the crowd. I've heard and watched the concerts they did and they were always joking around. Always. Benji was all: "Ya'll ready? Here we go!" But he wasn't.

*sigh*

And and, someone threw a glow stick at Benji, and he caught it!! Grabe ang galing! And wiggled his eyebrows and threw it back to the drummer. Hehe. And then he got a poster that someone from the crowd gave him. hehe. Sweet....

Banda end, he kept on smiling. Joel kept on sticking his tongue out. Paul was so cute. Hehe. I am in awe of how the all play. Billy rin kaya! Oh my god. Dean is pretty good looking. But I hate him.

He left Morrissey, his own band, to tour with GC as a TEMPORARY drummer. Morrissey was even planning to have their own tour, and to make a new album! Morrissey fans will hate GC because of it!

I can't sleep. And I can't eat cause I'm full. Dad is totally worried. He thinks I damaged something when the dude landed on me. I actually think I did. Cause my body hurts like hell right now.

What else? I can't forget anything! I NEED to remember this event! That's why I'm writing it!!

Hehe, last song, Benji tried to put back his hanky, he started smiling because he was having a hard time. Haha! And his mike fell! Oh wait, it didn't. The wire disconnected from the mike so he picked it up and concentrated on fixing it up. He was concerntrated no! Yeah, and in the middle of one song, Joel lowered Benji's mike. haha! Maybe cause he noticed that Benji couldn't reach it. haha!

AND I LOST 5 POUNDS!!

*gasp*

If I continue doing this, I'll die.

I hope they come back.

I'm sure I'll never lose my love for them and their band thanks to this AMAZING concert.
